SBWFA Photo Contest

The SBWFA will be holding a photo contest and is looking for your best 2019 Fire Season pictures.

Two photos will be selected for awards!

To participate, please read the contest rulsubmit your photo to:



  1. Entrants must be the sole owner of the copyright of any image submitted.
  2. Photographers may only submit one photo.
  3. If you choose to include people in your submission, you are responsible for obtaining the necessary releases from the individuals depicted.
  4. Photo must be submitted with entrant's full name, email address, phone number, agency, fire department or affiliation, name of fire, place of fire and date of fire.
  5. By submitting your photograph, you are granting the SBWAF permission to publish the photograph in any academy publication, in advertising, on our website and for other purposes.
  6. All pictures must depict the proper use of PPE and follow OSHA safety regulations.
  7. Contest entries must not contain content: where any persons are depicted to have taken excessive risks; that is inappropriate, indecent, obscene, violent, hateful, tortuous, defamatory, or slanderous; that promotes racism or hatred against any group or individual or that promotes discrimination based on race, sex, religion, nationality, disability, sexual orientation or age; or that is unlawful, in violation of or contrary to the laws or regulations in the state or province where the photo was captured, produced or edited, as well as the laws and regulations of the United States.
  8. SBWFA Council will ultimately decide if something is appropriate or not and act accordingly. Photographs exhibiting any banned images will lead to a permanent ban from the SBWFA Photo Contest.
